Changing Hole Patterns

Post by Bill Lumley »

I am going mad trying to figure out how to add a new hole pattern , associate it with a piece of hardware and then apply it to a cabinet. I have
done it once and thought I understood it now I can't for the life of me get it to work again . I created a new hole pattern and gave it a new name
and associated it with a piece of hardware (KD/RTA fitting) . I can apply the old pattern through a new hardware code to the cabinet and it works fine but
as soon as I select the new hardware type with the newly associated hole pattern all the KD/RTA holes disappear from the cabinet .... Any clues to make
this easier would be appreciated . I have tried everything but rebooting my PC and no luck ... the balnk parts stair me in the face every time .

Thanks Bill

Ignore that . I stared at it for far too long . Dinner help clear the blockage in the brain :)

Well, for starters, you might want to post your hole pattern file for us to take a look at it. You might also want to post the cabinet file.

Joe , I had forgot to put depth in the new hole patterns . I could see the shape in the hole editor and neglected to put a negative depth before starting them .
This stuff happens when you only use features periodically and are new to the program ...:)
