The 5 pc door system is currently available. The system can be setup on Thermwood controls running the following versions:

o Version 6.1.3.4 or higher for GEN2
o Version 5.05 Build 11 for 91000

If interested in this update for your control, contact Thermwood's Upgrade/Retro dept.

Thanks Ryan,

I'm running build 9. I will request an upgrade. What about tooling and clamping? Is that available? I did not see anything in the Member Store.

Thanks for your help,

Brian

Ryan, did you see that Bar Rail that I finally got done? I'll send pics to Jason for Mag 4.

Yes, there is an Alum. clamping assembly that is included in the system, along with a panel used when machining the middle section of the door. The panel is approx. 1/4\" thick with holes thru it to supply optimum vacuum to the panel which is placed on it for machining. The panel also has a rubber like coating on it for sealing purposes. The Alum. fixture is positioned on the spoilboard and use with your Universal Vacuum system to hold in place while cutting Styles and Rails.

Upgrade/Retro dept. will have additional info.

Hey Brian,

I missed the little message at the end of your last posting. No, I did not see your finished bar rail. I certainly would like to see how that turned out for you. I remember a little while back you working on that piece.

Brian that looks awesome! How much $$$ per foot would you charge for that?

I don't know but my lumber supplier wanted $1280. That's why I was so determined to make it work.

Brian

Looking good man, I ran moldings for a few years and that would compliment a lot of stuff I ran a long time ago.

I got the door upgrade last week and ran a small set of 15 doors. It is a very slick setup. Very easy to use. The doors came out perfect and took 8 to 10 minutes each. The only problem I see is on narrow ones, the clamp is too wide for any door less than about 11 inches. I have a few ideas how to fix this and I will post them if it works.
