OK, Here's the dope on this little gremlin....

I bring a multi-cabinet layout built in the previous version before the latest upgrade into the room editor and cannot delete a stacked cabinet \"assembly\", made up of two bookcases w/ shelves (no edging) and molding trim. The program locks up.
It is interesting, in the Windows Task manager the Processor shows 100% w/ about 48 tasks running. It also shows two (2) eCab programs running when this happens, though I have certified that only one was called by me, and it seems I have to stop both to get the program to shut down.

The Workaround:
After shutting the program down, re-starting it, and re-loading the layout room,.......... in the Detail Room Mode, highlight the assembly to be deleted, right click to \"edit the assy\", delete all parts in the assembly editor, and then click to return to the room. The Assembly is deleted that way and the program continues to allow me to work.
Slammed on this project for another two hours with no other gremlins.

Peter,

When working with this cabinet can you go into any of the editors? Also, if you go into the construction settings dialog and click \"OK\" does that cabinet make it freeze?

First, it is not a single cabinet, it is an assembly of two cabinets saved as an assembly and placed into the room as an assembly. Second, I can edit the assembly as described in my message above.

Do I have to zip the assembly file, or can I just post it as is?

Peter,

I have downloaded the assembly and found no problem with deleting it. I have V5.1 on my home computer. This is the one I spend most of my time on developing cabinets and assemblies etc. My design computer which is the other one at the shop it has v5.2. I'll take it there in the morning and play with it. I know it ain't helping now. Can't say I'll find anything. But... And I'm a little hesitant to load .2. on this machine.

Don't know why things hung up but I did find a workaround and moved on with the design. I don't have any new assemblies in the re-worked design yet so,.....so far so good.

I'll post my findings tomorrow. Hope you get through this I know the stress involved with contract deadlines and customers that call two or three times every day when you tell them \"give me a couple days...\"

Did the job that you were working with here contain or at least at one time contain \"countertop editor\" countertops?

Scott,
The job contained a large countertop.

In fact, my attempts to edit the countertop in order to round some protruding corners resulted in mis-shapen corners so I left them square.

The deleting of the assembly issue is resolved for a future update. That issue was related to countertops being added or deleted in a certain scenario when assemblies exist or are added. That is why I asked the last question.

Now as far as your misshapen c-top, it would be best to attach the job with some steps to reproduce it. I will see if I can reproduce it and if so I will get it looked at.
