I did not want to hijack Joe's earlier topic about toe kick, so I post this one, also related to toe kick.
Question: Does anyone miter the toe kick on either side, or on both left and right sides, to hide the end grain?
Follow-up question: If you do, how do you set it up in the eCabs software?
The reason I ask: I want to hide the end grain when the toe kick might be visible, such an on a free-standing cabinet, island, etc.
I look forward to learning how to do it in eCabinet Systems.
.
Another toe kick question

Thanks, Kerry!
I just realized that I don't have to worry about setting a full dado in the Left and Right Construction pull-down boxes, as the toe kick now penetrates fully.
I was having a hard time visualizing it, although it WAS right in front of me...
NOW I can cut the toe kick confidently.
Two follow-up questions:
1. Would \"full dado\" then be the correct spec if one were to cut on a CNC machine?
2. Or, better yet, would \"miter\" as a joint selection be better for the toe kick in a future build for eCabs to hide the end grain?

- I was over-doing it... Using the full dado joint setting.

- But I think THIS is what you mean - is this one correct?

NOW I know the REST of the story. Thanks again, Kerry!
And thank-you also, Mike. I have learned my new thing for the day...
Just for kicks, I also tried setting the joint to Blind Dado AND the offsets. This yields a funky joint, into which one could insert a lock key... I don't think any client would want THAT in THEIR kitchens.
Don't know whether to laugh or cry... But it must be part of the learning curve, I imagine.
