I picture this - maybe George could confirm when he wakes up:

George sitting at his desk comfortably typing away with one hand, and the 22-inch monitor across the street, near the neighbor's house - the monitor is THAT big! He might be having trouble adjusting to the large screen 8) .

Exactly Al. A 22\" sounded good in the store, in fact the clarity is unbelievable, but it takes your eyes right out. In the store I stood 3 feet from the thing, sitting at it, and using the keyboad isn't as great. Guess my arms are too short
I suppose I could try standing on another drywall pail and see how it looks from there:mrgreen: In my case the there would end up being a hospital bed
It's nice to have my eCab program running like it should though. Now all I have to do is get off of these pain pills, it's hard to work with fuzzy little cabinets that keep scurring aroung the room

I hope you are feeling better, George. How is the elbow coming along? Hope you have been able to dedicate some times to eCabs.

Elbow ain't doing so hot, I bumped it against the wall last night while sleeping. I looked like these little guys    . From there the night pretty much ran downhill
I've been trying to figure out how to get a toe board on my cabinets, and get rid of the excess end of the cabinet where the toe board goes. Can you help?? I've been trying out the more complicated parts, such as part editor and line editor. How do I make moulding for around the whole room and not just on the cabinets?? When I try to take it to the part editor it says moulding can't be altered. Also, can I use a display board for a ceiling and how do I adjust lighting through it??
My wife says if I get some reading glasses, I might adjust to the bigger screen. I have bifocals and I have to tip my head to see the screen. I didn't realize I did that, guess I got used to it a long time ago  So that is on my list of things to do too.

OUCH!!! Sure hope it gets better. Just don't try too hard, and take the pain control meds as needed.

I post two images that should help you get the sides flush with the bottom edge of the face frame.

Moldings: I am still learning these and how they are applied in the room - I am sure someone else will help with that one.

For the ceiling, use a display cube and not a board. Rotate it so that the orientation is correct. You will need to specify all three dimensions. Let us know if you need more info.

As for the lights, associate them to a wall by selecting each in Detail Room and placing below the top of the wall, so they will them be below the ceiling. To place them low, after associating them to the wall, double-click on the wall and you will be to select as many as you want to set at a lower height.

I have been using readers for years when working at the computer, George. If I don't, the headaches I get are bad. These will be a GREAT investment!

I have a cabinet I want you to look at, but I don't know how to show the screen shots like you are doing. I tried saving the jpg ( little camera on the end of the cabinet editor) . I saved it to MY Picture folder on my computer but when I opened it all I had was a picture of the page for loading files etc.

George,

I have been pressing the PrintScreen button to get the full screen shot. That key should be in the top row, and to the right of the function keys.

After pressing PrtScn, launch Paint ( Start | All Programs | Accessories | Paint ). Once in Paint, select Edit | Paste. This will past your screen shot into the Paint application.

Once the screen image is within Paint, select Image | Stretch/Skew. A good image size is around 40% to 60% of the image you pasted into Paint.

Save this image in a location that you will remember: File | Save As... and Save as type JPEG. Give the file a name that makes sense to you, in a location you prefer.

Since the image is now saved on your hard disk, you can upload it as part of a post. Let us know how this goes for you.

Good luck!

That is exactly the look I'm looking for. I don't understand the back panel concept though. I see the two cabinets in the first picture, but how did you get the moulding on the back? And where are the cabinets in pictures 2 and 3?? Do turn the cabinet around before installing the moulding? I haven't played at this part very much so bare with me. I think it's a look most of us are trying hard to achieve though. Seems everybody wants some sort of crown on top, chair rail mid-section and baseboard.

It's all in the insets George! Play around with positive and negative insets on your mouldings. Also uncheck all the parts of your cab except the back which you make from 1/16\" material. That way when you place your \"cabinet\" in the room your mouldings will be re sizable.

This moulding here is mounted on a top that is made from 1/16\" thick material. The cab depth is 1/16\" and all other parts have been unchecked. It takes a bit of time to get used to constructing like this. George D. has a very good grasp of this. HTH

Ok I made it as far as the base moulding. Everything was going great until I went to add that. First I got a window box telling me to select the length of molding. I got that twice, thne it put on the backside if the cabinet?
Where do I select a length? And why is it on the back????

Al thanks for the help with the screenshot thing. Never even noticed it on the keyboard,DUH
