I have tried to open 3 old jobs since reinstalling eCabinets in my new computer. I can open them, work on them, but can't save any changes. Anybody else had this problem?
Oh no Dan you will NOT entice me to show off my own! I believe that your showing off of the original 'Fuzzy sticks\" was peer pressure! I have always been known to go against the stream (= peer pressure!)
George,
My apologies for Net-jacking your original post/problem - hopefully someone will have some sense in answering your question (obviously I am not sensible?/sensitive?/sensational?) Sorry it just sort flows out today...don't listen to me!
Daniel;
Here is one of the files I couldn't save. I have a couple of others. When I built this version I had the cabinets stored in a folder called My Cabinets. When I reinstalled the program on the new computer that folder was gone too.
I haven't looked at the job file you attached, but here is my guess. You said you previously stored your cabinet files (HSF) in a directory named \"My Cabinets\" and you no longer have it.
When eCabinets is first installed, it creates only the standard cabinets directory which you cannot save to. You have to create your own directories for your seed cabinets.
If you are trying to save cabinets in the standard cabinets directory it won't work. The job itself references the location of the cabinets in it and is probably looking for \"My Cabinets\".
Try creating that directory (when saving a seed cabinet) and see if that helps.
When I'm done with this post, I'm going to download build 4 didn't know there was one
Ok so if I understand you right Dan, I have to go back in and save all of the cabinets I've ever built (my seed cabinets) into \"MY Cabinets\" folder and the program will then be able to recognize them???? I was afraid it was going to be something this simple Should I have named the file My seed cabinets????, or is that a personal preference?
