Saving Jpg Images

Post by Rob Perry »

I'm thinking this could be a Graphics card issue but it seems if I try to save a Jpg ( See attachment ) I always get the window that will not go away. Any Suggestions ??

That seems to be a problem for some user and not others Rob. Several users have posted about this in the past. I have used eCabinets on several computers with low-to-high quality graphics cards and have never had this happen. Others with high quality cards have had this happen. :?: :?: :?:

Happens to me all the time in LDE. If I need a jpg then I just move the box out of the way before saving.

I have had this happening using 3 different types of card so what I do now is drag the dialogue box way out of the picture before I press the button.

So you are now having this happen on the same computers that previously did not have this problem?

As I said, I have never had this problem on any computer or release, so I would like to be able to determine what causes it.

Hmmmmm...I wonder what could have changed. Do you recall making ANY changes to the computers around the time it stopped working correctly?

No Sir,
MY laptop is exactly what you and I talked about and has never been touched and it has been about a yr. since I have done anything to my 2 yr. old desktop. Being completely stupid about the inner workings of a computer, I try to NOT fix what is working!!!

Catch up with this thread later, have 2 client meetings and one field measurment today, would be great to figure this out, but have yet had time to even asses the situation fully...

Hmmm.. It looks like its a common problem.. Anyway I tried moving the window out of the way when saving but it still shows up.. Although at least now I can see the drawing.. I'm hoping someone from thermwood can shed some light on this ...

Hey guys,

Open Ifran view and use it instead of the snap shot tool. Ifran View will allow very quick snap shots and you can save the images anywhere in your directories or even on your desktop.

Ok.. This is problably a dumb question but I can't seem to figure out how to get the LDE drawing to show up in Irfan. It wants me to open a file But wouldn't I have to save as a jpg before opening in Irfan View ??

Hey Rob,

While in the LDE (or any other editor) open Ifran View and select the \"options\" tab and then click on the \"capture/screenshot\" button from the drop down menu.

This dialog is the starting of Ifran View's snap shop function. The keys to activate the actual snap are \"Ctrl+F11\". Set the folder where you want to save the images and click the start button.

Once you get into the editor or view of any sort, just press Ctrl+F11. You should hear a sound from your speekers indicating there was a snap.

Hope this helps.

I've been trying that but Unless I Select Whole Screen all I get is a Image that says \"No File Loaded\" If I select Forground Screen or Client area I get the no file loaded image only.. I'm assuming Client area Means only the Drawing portion..
