That is much more precise than what I said and exactly what I meant.

That button is to be used only in the direst of situations.

Sounds as if some of you have been ingesting too much caffeine.

It seems as if I was reporting a fault (read: bug) in that cabs behave badly when outfitted with drawers, and a resize in the Z direction (cab depth) is attempted.

Without any hysterics, a member of the Thermwood team has reported earlier in this thread that it is fixed in 5.2.

Thanks, Thermwood!

Shown here is what happens to one of my seed cabs, a simple frameless base with a door under a drawer. The cab came in at 23.75\" depth, and what you see is what happens when I changed depth to 25.75\".

When I said \"pooch out the back\" in an earlier post, what I meant was that a depth increase should make the cabinet back retreat in the +Z direction, with widths of deck, sides, etc. all increasing accordingly, while the drawer remains fixed. Apparently, the software determines that the distance between back and rear of drawerbox should be fixed, holds it there when the move is made, and drags the whole drawer into the cabinet.

I did not say that the drawerbox pokes through the back. Sorry for the misuse of words.

The workaround is to resize the cab, depth-wise, then delete the drawer, and add the drawer back. Everything is fine then.

And BTW, whatever reading you may take from reading my posts, be aware that I am a happy eCabs user, having used it for two cabinet orders thus far, and am now cooking up my third job to email off to the production share shop.

I just have some \"I wish\" things. And as Miles Davis said, when asked by a reporter doing an interview, why he smoked so much dope, \"Wuz wrong wid dat?\"

This next job has all the funky depth change detail, and has a high drawer count, almost 60, so I wish I had 5.2 now.

Gene, I'm really glad to here that your happy with the program. I think the most difficult part of it is learning while trying to use it in a production setting :wall:. The best thing is the 24/7 support that we all benefit from on this forum. We all have gone through the growing pains of learning, and soon you to will be guiding newbies through the software too.
Cheers

Hope you got some free bacon or ham steaks or pork roasts outta that deal. Been there, done that....can still smell it 15 years later. (Funny thing is, ask any employee there and they all say, 'What smell?')

I'm glad Gene is happy now.
