Removing Toe Kick Cutout

Post by Tony Marrazzo »

OK all you guru's, noob question. How do you remove the toe kick cutout on the end of a cabinet? I have 2 cabs forming an L and the left side of one is the finished end that I don't want the toe kick cutout to show - can it be done? Thanks for a great forum!

Tony
Please post or email this cabinet to me. I would like to take a look at it first.

I'm not sure how to attach a link to a forum topic but I'll try.

In the Construction Settings tab for the Toe Kick, set the toe kick height to the height of your toe kick, set the toe kick inset value to 0, and then uncheck the \"Has Toe\" check box. Click on the Okay button. The cabinet will be rebuilt with a flat panel on both sides the runs to the floor without the notch out. The toe kick height sets the position for the deck of the cabinet.

If you do need a notch on the opposite side, then take that side into the Part Editor.

If you need the toe kick and related dadoes, then you'll need to add a toe kick with the Stretcher Editor. The Toe Kick, alias Stretcher, will resize with the cabinet and blind dadoes can be used.

The previous links that discussed adding Display Panes were relevant to older versions of eCabinet systems prior to the addition of the Stretcher Editor.

Makes sense now, I was trying to remove the notch in the left side in the editor instead of fixing the toe kick and adding the notch to the right side. You guys rock!

Worked like a champ! One more thing, when I save JPEG's for posting, what size should they be so it doesn't mess up the view (so you don't have to use the slide bar on the bottom to view pics)?
