Beginners question ; I have a custom layout with 15 cabinets. Ready to show the client. What if the question is \"Can you show me the design with a darker or lighter color door?\" Can I change all the doors in a few\"clicks\" for the whole custom layout?
I couldn't find a reference in the manual. I hope there is an easy way without having to re-desings all the cabinets using different doors and redo the custom layout.
Stefan,
Open up the layout file you would like to edit. First, click \"Detail Room\" Next, highlight all of the cabinets that have doors you would like to change. (Note: Highlighted cabinets should be covered with a green grid) Then, Right-click. Goto, \"Adjust cabinet features\">\"Change\">\"Doors\"
This will bring up the door/drawer front designer. Select or create your new door.
When finished, click, OK. Your doors will update.
Note: Depending on what is in the kitchen, (door pulls, Appliances, ect) and the power of your computer, this updating process may take a minute. I would run through the proccess before sitting down with the customer. Just so you know how long it is going to take.
You may need to \"reapply\" the doors or at least take them to the PE after replacing them as they sometimes tend to \"hang\" in front of the cabinets. I'm sure there is a thread about this somewhere. . .
Am I missing something. Or does this process just change to the four different types of wood. Is there a way to change from say a maple to walnut without going into the cabinet editor and using texture match.

If you are in Detail Room mode and right click and SELECT ALL CABINETS -- CHANGE DOORS -- and the pick your door from the menu and what style and wood type and also what colour then hit default and all doors will be changed. You must also do this for DRAWER FRONTS to complete the change. Note--- When you choose Conestaga -- you can change the style & profile and the inside panel and the wood species and the colour it renders so look deep into the process.
