Display Cubes, Panels and Boards:

Post by leigh mills »

Hello Everyone,
could someone tell me if any of the display cubes, panels or boards go through to the CNC? because i am creating a "display alcove" which basically has a front angle with a cut in it, the only way i can think of doing this is by using a display panel or board as you can take the part into part editor and also angle the part. If there is an alternative then let me know

thanks leigh

Cubes and boards--no, panels--yes.

Cubes are just for display purposes (things like ranges, sofas, planters, etc) and boards of any type are never nested.

The display panel wont resize on its own, is there a way of doing this or do you have to resize the part

Leigh,

If you make your part from a cabinet panel(back) and delete all other parts, then it can be resized.

Display panels cannot be resized--you have to create separate display panels if you need them in different sizes. :?

Sure you can...the "panel" is a separate cabinet with all parts but the back removed, just double-click the "panel" to select it and you can rotate and move it. Since it is a separate cabinet, single-clicking to select it will not allow you to rotate it.

You have to save as an assembly using this method and if resizing, you have to resize each cabinet in the assembly individually.

leigh,

If a back is awkward use a side instead but in the same way. Just make sure you size the width at the thickness of the material you are using.
