Connot Find Countertop Body
I have a job I'm working on & I added the countertop. Took it to part editor to make some radius cuts & Champhers. Now it will not let me go back to part editor to add the sink cutout. When I try to go back to part editor I get the message "The edited or unedited body for this part was not found" I then click OK then I get the message "Cannot find countertop body" I then click ok. It then goes back to detail room.. I cannot access the part editor with the countertop again to cut the sink hole..

When I load your job in the custom layout, I double click on the counter top that needs the cut outs. I then right click and go to part editor. This will now take the counter top to the part editor and I can apply the cut out where it needs to be. I do not get any error messages. Can you tell me step by step what you are doing?

Hi Justin
That is exacly how I'm trying to do it but I still get the error messages. This has happened to me before on other jobs but I usually end up deleting the countertop & Making one out of a display cube. Could it possible be a grafix card issue. I'm using a Nvidia GeForce 7300GS0C.

I wouldn't think the graphics card would cause any issues with this but what is the memory size of the card?

When you laod this job double click on the counter top, then right click and go to counter top and edit counter top. It will prompt you, this action will cause part editor modifications to be lost on all the active cabinets modified parts. Are you sure you want to continue and lose all changes? Click yes. This takes you to the counter top editor just click ok and it will add the counter top back in. Now double click on the counter top again and right click and go to part editor. This will allow you to take the counter top in the part editor.

Hi Justin
OK.. Did that.. I had to redo the other part editor cuts. This time I did ALL the part editor cuts to the countertop at the same time including the sink cutout.
when going back to detail room I get the Message "Cannot find countertop body" ... I Click OK ... It then returns to detail room.. However the sink cutout does not show up when in detail room or the main room layout screen ( Pic attached ). This time it does allow me to go back to part editor and the Sink cutout is showing up here ( Pic attached ). I notice when highlighting the countertop in Detail room the sink area does not go green with the rest of the countertop.
I am able to select the sink cutout area seperatly and delete it from Detail room. Then when I take the countertop back to part editor the sink cutout does not show up anymore. This is definatly strange.. Wait a minuite.... Now I try to take the countert back to part editor and It is back to giving me the same error messages and will not allow me to go back to part editor without loosing the other cuts again...

I will need the dimensions from the edge of the counter top to the edge of the sink cut out. I will also need the dimensions of the sink cutout. I will try and apply the cutout myself and see if I get the same message.

Re: Connot Find Countertop Body
Hi Justin
Thanks for looking into this as usual..
Just so you know this is not a urgent problem for me to get figured out.
This particular countertop is for display only & will not be used for fabrication anyway and it is not slowing me down on this project.
That said, here are the locations & Dimensions of the sink hole. I was only using the grid as a guide & Placing it approx. in proper position & size. (had grid set @ 2")
Size of Cutout.. 8" Wide x 14 1/4" deep
28" from left side of Countertop ( Centred at 32" From Left end )
4" From front of countertop
Thanks

I am going to be sending you a couple of files for you to try out. It is the same file just with modifications to them.
