I'm having problems placing a rectangle on a wall. I created a wall 108" high and 144" wide. I want to create a hole in it. I'm starting the rectangle at 24,24. I then select INC. If I enter a whole number or decimal number value all is well, and the rectangle is created properly. If I use fractions the rectangle is not the right size. The numbers I entered were 24 1/2,24 1/2 for the incremental X and Y values. (Actually, the numbers don't seem to matter.) Is there a special way to enter fractions? This would appear to be a bug, but maybe it's operator error.
Thanks,
Joe

Re: Placing a Rectangle on a Wall
I ran into a similar situation during beta testing Joe...you have to enter the annoying inch symbols (").

Thanks Dan, but I must be extra thick. Can you splain it to me? When I enter the inch marks I just get error messages if they are included with fractions.

Re: Placing a Rectangle on a Wall
Hmmm...I have my display dimensions set to inches and decimals so that may account for the need for the inch symbol.
Try entering 24.5" instead of 24 1/2" and see if that works.

Re: Placing a Rectangle on a Wall
Thanks Dan,
Inches and decimals works without a problem - even without the inch (") mark. It's just the fractions that have the problem as far as I can see. I can work around this of course, but it does seem like there are two bugs here - the first is the problem entering fractions and the second is the error message that pops up when you enter the inch symbols.
