installation problem

Post by Karin Sasse »

Hi

we have installed my disc on my designers laptop, Toshiba 4 Gig 512 Video card. we downloaded the update, now when we open e cabinets it hangs at the opening page where the list comes up with the things to do.
we run vista pro, and we followed all the steps to load ecabs for vista.
any help would be appreciated. thanks

Karin,

Did you run the update before opening eCab for the first time?

Karin,

I'm pretty sure I ran the update befor even opening eCabs. I may be wrong here. I tried many ways and can't remember exactly how I got it all it to work in the end. I had the update saved to my desktop. Make sure you run everything as administator (right right - run as administator).

Is your version of Vista 64 bit or 32 bit? If it is 64 bit, this could be the problem. eCabinets will not run on Vista 64 bit.

Hi Justin

It's 32 bit Vista, it seems to hang at always the same point, uninstall, repair doesn't work either.
