Loft Space
Hi, well I’m getting better at using this superb programme and my customers enjoy viewing the end result before it’s built. However a new challenge faces me and I need to plan a loft space bedroom with a pitch roof which means cabinets with sloping features. So has anyone got ideas as to the most efficient way to draw these with doors?
The learning curve can be comfortable if all resources are applied

Simon,
Post us a picture and we can at least give you some tips. With the sloping ceiling, I am thinking you will have angled PE cuts on your endpanels, and maybe some back insets on your tops, shelves, and decks.

Yep you’ve got the jist of what I’m after, I’ve searched the topics and come up with this so far, but would like to angle the top, sides and display board and any shelves to neaten it up, I would really like to add face frames and doors also,

Simon,
I foresee you getting to know thw PE really well. As all of your FF compenents and doors will need to be created in it. And they (doors and FF) will not update correctly when resizing the cabinet. So this is going to require a lot of trial and error.
TIPS:
- FF can be trimmed or mitred in the part editor.
- Slab doors can be trimmed in the PE, but the edge banding cannot be deleted or made transparent. Example: if you take a slab door into the PE and cut off the top left corner the square edgebanding will remain.
- Try using diplay panels for doors.
If someone else has had experience with this type of application, please post some tips! Thanks!
