Re: Edgebanding Deck
Should it matter what the joinery is?

Re: Edgebanding Deck
Oh, now I see what you mean. That seems strange because you cannot select nothing. But sure enough it is blank.

Re: Edgebanding Deck
Rick
It will not let you change the front construction to butt on the deck?
Rick & Damon
If you happen to come across this again could you let me know what you were doing to the cabinet and post it too? Rick do you remember when and how you changed the construction on the cabinet? Did you change the construction at the beginning or the end of designing? Did you change any construction with the mouse tier? Any thing you could give me about the making of this cabinet could help me.
Thanks

Re: Edgebanding Deck
Walker, after you posted about the butt joint, I redownloaded the cabinet and went to construction settings and looked at the deck. The deck front was blank, nothing there. I clicked on it anyway and selected butt and it changed the cabinet so that edgebanding would show up. Easier than deleting the deck like I did.

Re: Edgebanding Deck
Walker, I started with no TK, Deck with bottom inset, stretcher below it in place of the TK. Global set on blind. I'm trying different scenarios, but I can't get it to reproduce yet.

Re: Edgebanding Deck
Same thing happened to me, started with a cabinet that had no deck, added a deck then tried to put edgebanding on. No front edge available in edgebanding. Went back to construction settings and found the front construction of the deck to be blank, change this to butt and it is then available for edgebanding.
I also have this when changing the deck flush with a back and then want to edge the bottom edge of the back.

Re: Edgebanding Deck
Hey guys,
I've had similar situations where a field will be blank like that. If I recall correctly, it would crop up after setting the "global settings" of a cabinet, rather than changing each page (deck, top, ends, etc.) seperately. I'm not at my office computer right now so I can't double check it, but ya'll might want to start looking in that area to troubleshoot.
Hopefully this is more help than harm!

Re: Edgebanding Deck
That's it Glenn. I took a standard frameless base, removed the deck and tk, saved, then added a deck, and nothing in Construction Front.

Rick, Glenn and Damon
Thanks for the impute guys with what Glenn has said I’ve found the bug and have it listed for the programmers. If you remove the deck then re add it the front construction will be blank. This happens to all parts with front construction too. Again thanks for the help guys.
