"L" shape counter top and Sink

Post by Denis L'Heureux »

Ihave a "L" shape counter top that I am trying to place a sink cut out in the corner of the L. The cut out would be at a 45 degree angle in the corner. I can't seem to be able to cut such a rectangle at that angle......any way to do this?

Thanks

I think this is what you are trying to do. If so, go into the contour mode and draw your lines where you want to cut out the sink and the outer perimeter of the counter top. Then exit out of the closed contour and create your part with "Create part using closed contour" and cut your sink hole out using "cut/pocket using closed contour"

Or like this? Same procedure as above. The only problem with doing it like this, you run out of room for the sink. I have used an L shaped sink in this corner before.

Denis,

Make sure you have Ortho turned off in the contour mode and you can draw the angled lines.
