Re: CRASHING ON REGISTRATION
Yes indeed. We uninstalled and reinstalled with the latest build because we had a 80090016 CryptAquireContext error

Ahhh...I think the eCabinets support folks have something for that. Was this on your ailing laptop?

Re: CRASHING ON REGISTRATION
You get the CryptAquireContext error when ever the Encryption that ecabinets did not get setup properly. Usually happens when Thmcrypt.exe (inlcuded on cd) is ran with a non-adminstrative account. Log in with an admin account and run the thmcrypt.exe from the cd.

Re: CRASHING ON REGISTRATION
Thanks Rick but the CryptAquireContext error is moot as the program had been uninstalled and the problem is that now when we try to register it on-line after reinstalling, the program hangs when connecting

Re: CRASHING ON REGISTRATION
Nick,
Did you make sure that eCabinets was installed while using an account with administrative rights. If not then I would un=install, delete all the files and folders that pertain to eCabinets from the c drive then make sure I was logged in as an administrator and re-install.
Rick will probably have some better info.
It would probably be worth your time to arrange a phone call with Thermwood so they could walk you through this and finally get the problem resolved. I don't know what time zone you are in but maybe you could call early morning or late at night or even in the middle of the night.

I think they are GMT +2, so when it is 8am eastern US, it is 2pm the same day there.Kerry Fullington wrote:...I don't know what time zone you are in but maybe you could call early morning or late at night or even in the middle of the night...
