Corner Cabinet Width

Post by Nat Wheatley »

I'm trying to set this cabinet up to be 610mm wide (across both backs), have the each of the actual cabinet sides be 304mm, and have a 406mm front opening. No matter what I try I can't seem to get these dimensions to work out on the cabinet.

(I've put a 19mm inset on the sides to get them to cutlist correctly at 304mm deep)

Are you talking about "Center of Angle" when you say "710mm wide across both backs?"

Dan,

I'm not completely clear on the terminology. The cabinet would come out of the corner 610mm in each direction.

Here is a better question: What are the dimensions between each pair of letters on this diagram (a-b, b-c, c-d, d-e, b-f, e-a and a-c)?

This might help too. If you click on the ? in each of the corner settings groups, you will get a popup explaining what the setting does.

Nat,

If you want a 610mm back width with a 304mm depth you will need a 306mm left and right front width.
You have the 19mm front insets on the sides
You need a 13.5mm front inset on the top and deck
Doing this I get a 406.1mm opening

Thanks for the help, guys. I was misinterpreting the 'front width' to be the width of the cabinet opening, not the overall front width of the cabinet. I added the setbacks for the top and deck, and have the cabinet I'm after.

Thanks again, I'm glad to be able to add this to my library. I was putting off doing it, and am glad it's ironed out.
