I'm getting this message every time I go to nest the parts that the back can't be nested - it doesn't give any reason why??? I don't have a clue...and while I'm here how would you go about wrapping the top in crown when it's cut back like that? Thanks.
What is your collar value? You may need to decrease the value. I think the problem you running into is that the part size + collar value is greater than the width or length of your material.
I had no problem nesting the job. Rick mentioned your collar value, mine is set at .12". If your are using a router then you will need to use the advice of someone who has one. I don't have a router but the settings still need to be correct for me to nest as a reference. Also, to add the crown molding you can add it by using place item. click molding and there you can insert measurements and miters. Then move them to where you wan them placed. You will need to do this for each piece. Hope this helps.
Got it! Thanks. Got one more questions tho: I like to put a 5" base around built-ins and furniture pieces - none that size are available as moldings...how could you make that work?
You will need to place the size of the molding you want on the cabinet and then click on it and take it into the parts editor and use a tool to put an edge on it. Then return with a save. I made this one, which is what I think you are looking to do. Watch the videos the have to do with the part editor that are on the opening page of ecabinets at the bottom. It will show you how to do this. You can use any tool you want to get the look you want.
