I also noticed a lot of crashes recently. This is what I narrowed my problem to. If you have a cabinet that you apply an display panel to and then associate it you will have problems with doing part edits. I had crashes when trying to remove the edits and reapply. I took the part into PE and removed the profile cut and geometry cut and then tried to make other geo cuts and when I went to apply the profile it would lock up and crash. Happened over and over again until I remove the association to cabinet.

Hope this helps,
Forrest

Forrest,

This helps us look towards a more specific area for the problem, but so far, I am not seeing it. Can you post a simple cabinet for me to look at? This will help me focus more on the trouble area.

Be sure to list steps once to make the cabinet show the errors.

Ryan

I created a display cube 980mm x 480mm x 170mm

Take this to the part editor

Go to the contour screen load the SC980 parasolid file

select all

Translate this from -440,-140 to 0,0 (note one contour doesn't translate)

Don't delete any elements this will cause a crash!

Return to the part editor

cut pocket the smaller circles straight through

cut pocket the larger circles to 168mm

cut pocket the larger and smaller bowls to 166mm

cut pocket the elements that would normally raise up in the drainer 5mm ( it achieves the look)

cut pocket the smaller outline 2mm

radius the corners 17mm

look at the back

remove with rectangles and geometry cut pocket excess cube

exit part editor.

Crash! :wall:

Bryan,

Thanks for the steps and the file. Right now, I am thinking that the problem is in the parasolids file. When I open the file in a viewer, there are some strange lines that probably do not belong, as well as hidden lines. I have put an issue in to see what can be done, and at least set a catch in the program to prevent the crash. Once you can load the x_t file in the Contour mode and delete a line, I think the other parts of the issue may correct themselves.

As I learn more, I will post.

Ryan

Here is the DXF file I started with.

I deleted the elements I didn't need and then saved it.

Hope this helps
