Material Thickness Question

When I create a TWD file and choose to change a material thickness, it appears that the ESJ file retains the new material thickness. When I go to open the ESJ file, after the fact, it's treating the material whose thickness has been changed, as a new material, that needs to be added. Is this how it's supposed to work? I've only recently used this option to change the material thickness. Thanks.

This was a bug reported in V6 Build1. V6 Build2 should prevent that from happening.
