I'm working on a cabinet and I've set all my hinge, hinge plate and drawer slide default hardware successfully. I seem to be running into a problem of deleting a Hinge: Blum: BL-38N3580.08 from the cabinet buy list no matter what I try and do. The other hardware is being done correctly. I just can't get rid of the pesky Hinge: Blum: BL-38N3580.08.
The software will not allow you to delete an item that is associated to the cabinet. To do this, you must delete the association first, and then the part should clear from the Cabinet Buy List.
So, to do this, simply go to Hinges on the Item Window. If you know what part the hinge is associated to, then select that part, otherwise, you can select the entire cabinet. Now, in the Item window near the top, you will see what looks like 2 pieces of paper (Apply To/Clear...). Click this with the mouse, and select the appropriate option.
Thank you Ryan. I have noticed that about half the time I do that process the program crashes and Windows shuts it down.
The other half of the time it works. So I just make sure I've saved my project prior to doing this operation.
If you can find a job that it happens to every time, send it my way and with luck, it will happen to me as well. This way we can find a way to fix it for everyone.
I have associated a shelf support to a cabinet (or the shelf I can't remember)
How the heck can I delete it? I can understand the hinge issue of Donald's, but how do I delete a random piece of hardware especially if I can't remember how or to which part I added it.
The GUI really should allow for a user to simply delete it at the Cabinet List window and jobs done.

If your hardware was added as part of another operation like hinges and mounts that are added with a door or slides and mounts that were added with a drawer front or box you will not be able to delete them from the cabinet buy list. Any other hardware can be deleted by highlighting the appropriate cabinet (by double clicking it) and then entering a 0 in the quantity added to cabinet box and hitting Enter.
The Items that cannot be deleted in this way will be showing in the Quantity of Applied Defaults column and not the Quantity Added to Cabinet Column in the Buy List. These Items must be removed in their appropriate editors.
If this doesn't work post one of the offennding cabinets so we can look at it.
