I have a 3-Axis Thermwood Model 45, and it seems to be cutting out of square, the parts cutting like a parallelogram. What would cause this, and what's the solution to correct this?
You can check bridge squareness by placing a precision square on the table, aligning base end of square with the X axis using an indicator, once aligned with X axis, then you will use the indicator mounted to tooling plate and run it along the Y axis of square to check amt. of error. The larger the square the better. There should also be squareness numbers marked somewhere on the front edge of machine table, typically underneath front endge. Lastly, you could also unbelt the base drive screw opposite the HOME switch side, HOME the machine, then place belt back on drive to possibly get squareness back.
