I am building a nightstand that has a deck 4" from the actual bottom of the nightstand - you know, the part in contact with the floor.
I would like to add a drawer box under the deck of a cabinet in the toe kick area. The cabinet left and right stiles go all the way to the floor and I've set the bottom rail to be 4.75" wide, thus creating a rail that covers the opening under the deck. Now I have a void area 4" high under the deck that I want to put the drawer box in. I've tried everything I can think of to trick the software into thinking the that void area is an opening that will accept a drawer box. I've tried the door/drawer editor as well as the drawer box editor and can't get the software to let me add a drawer box there. My plan is to use the bottom rail of the faceframe as the drawer face of this dbx (hidden drawer scenario).
Any gurus have an idea how this can trick eCabs into letting me do this?
Hi Donald.
You can achieve this by removing the deck as Tim stated. Then install a fixed shelf at the height that you wish. Then you can install a drawer with a front inset that is the same as your stiles. Now you can install a slab drawer front that is of the same material as the stiles. Set the drawer front inset to the same as the front inset as the drawer box.
Hope this helps.
