g parameters Added ability to set nestinon individual parts (Added)

Just updated to latest version and can not find any documentation on how to use this new feature could someone please elaborate on how to utilize this I do not see any settings etc. when nesting

Just to note, settings will work in ecabinet systems nest currently. A Control Nest Update will be needed to obey the new settings at the machine. We are currently working on finalizing that release. You will be able to change the nesting parameters on parts at the machine as well!

Definitely something I harp on in training. Any time a new version comes out, first thing you should do after opening is go to the help manual and look at the What's New. Cliff notes and important information will be listed there, and typically I'll put a link you can click on to take you to somewhere else in the help manual that will have more information on the change.

Control Nesting doesn't have the same What's New section, but new/changed topics usually have a red asterisk next to them to help guide you.

I updated to the newest version through the dialog that popped up when I opened cabinets this morning. That must have been the problem because after reading the replies I uninstalled cabinets and then downloaded the latest build from the link on the forum then reinstalled now everything works fine

Interestingly, even though the new features seem to be present in the program, when I go to "What's New", there is nothing for build 12. I tried reinstalling using the Repair option, and that didn't change anything.

I just downloaded the exe from the website. I almost never wait for the program to prompt me. I'm weird like that lol

So strange. Even if you had gotten it from the prompt, they both come from the same place. Software engineer is making a change to the installer to always overwrite. I'll let you know when the newer installer is up. If you're desperate to see the help manual I can email you a link to download it, and where it goes on your computer. Let me know if you're desperate.

Hi Guys.
Thanks for the recent updates.
As to downloading, similar result to Jeremy

I downloaded from the popup within Ecabs. which installed the latest version.

To download a copy to put on a usb to update the factory computers, I clicked on updates through the link in the below screenshot.

And it still takes me to the old version and downloads the old version as in the screen shot.

The fixes additions change log on the update page is still showing the old version sept 2023.

Nah, I'm not desperate. When I read the new feature list on the download page, I just opened ecabs and started clicking around to find those features. They were exactly where I expected them to be, so kudos to the programmers for thinking like I do...lol
