Placing crown molding in custom layout

I have a kitchen designed already and needed to add crown molding to it. Is there a way to add crown in custom layout or do I have to take each cabinet individually and edit them? What is the fastest way to do this?

One easy (and resizable) method is to create a new cabinet with all parts except the top removed. Add crown molding to it and save as a cabinet.

You can now add that cabinet to a room layout and resize as necessary. After you add it just move it into location on top of the cabinets.

Dan, could you explain how to do this in more detail? I am not sure what you mean by taking the cabinet without the tops.

Only the top, not "without the tops."

Open a standard upper cabinet in the Cabinet Editor. Go into Construction Settings and uncheck the "Has..." box for every part except the top.

Exit Construction Settings and you have a cabinet that consists of only a top. Add your crown to is and save as a new cabinet.
