Re: Close call today, CNC fire

Had it happen to me also, while cutting regular plywood a small part came loose, it rode the bit up and stayed with it while trying to cut the next part. It didn't take long and we had a 2 inch hole burning embers. Had a bottle of water near by, shut everything down and put it out. Can't leave those...

Re: Problem with Shopbot Link and Write to Shopbot

Don, It is trying to use a tool for an operation that is to large. Not sure what you are nesting but could be drilling holes, cutting dado's or outline. I would try to nest one or a few cabinets at a time to narrow it down to a cabinet that is causing the error, then look at my construction of that ...

Re: Duplicating cabinets for better nesting.

If you save the three cabinet and the bench as an assembly you can put the assembly in the room seven times and it will nest them together, you dont have to lay them out neatly or anything. I have a small project that I make a bunch at once and i just put 35 in the room and then nest them together. ...

Hard to teach someone in the shop. Not sure how you will teach them remotely. Ecabs video training will help some and would be worth the money.

You can use a special material for your doors and set special labor pricing up for that material.

Re: Nest Diagram Inefficiency

Check your material and see if you have the Grain checked, that will cause it to not nest on the first sheet. Or you can change the grain on that part to cause it to run the other way. Also if your collar is to big when nesting it will leave to large a gap between parts.

Re: Door size on lower corner cab.

Hello Andy, This is a standard framed cabinet with the settings I used to create the doors. I do not see a way to make one door set behind the other where they meet so I set one door to overlap the frame by .75" and set up the rest with 3/32" for trimming. I set the it to 11/16" inset...

Re: Temp folder error

Try turning off your antivirus and see if it will work. The antivirus software updates its threats and could cause it.
