I feel like I've mastered just about every other aspect of the program but theres something about part editor that I just dont get. I've read the help manual many times but it seems too general. I need a tutorial that leads me through it step by step. is there such a thing?
specifically I want to create a curved counter top and curved island front.
I have managed to create a flutted filler (dumb luck?)
You will probably have to use display cubes you can give them just about any shape, color and texture you want, and curved walls are not supported yet.
I think your right about the display cube but I haven't been able to edit the part. I get left with the waste instead of the counter. I seem to be able to put the lines where i want to cut but then I'm lost. there is somthing fundamental about part editor I'm just not grasping.
Wayne,
After creating the contour you want, right click and then choose 'Create part using closed contour', click on the contour line and then click next. You should now be left with the part you want. You probably chose the other one where you can cut through the material.

eCabinet Systems Made Easy (located on the help menu) gives a great tutorial on making curved parts.
Click the Contents tab then scroll down to \"Using the Cabinet/Assembly Editor\" and double-click it. Scroll down to \"Using the Part Editor\" and the right panel has the steps.
