Rotate Stretcher
Maybe some one could tell me why I cannot rotate the bottom front stretchers on this cabinet without getting all kinds of errors or reverting back. TIA.

Re: Rotate Stretcher
Wally, what are you trying to do? flip it over 180deg, stand it up and down, or what?

Re: Rotate Stretcher
Wally,
I rotated the front stretcher and saved it with no problems. My process was go to stretcher editor and highlight the part then go to adjust stretcher. At bottom left side of screen use the rotate function and exit back to main editor. Are these your steps?

Yes I'm trying to rotate 180deg. Every time I do it reverts back to 90deg and changes the insets.Damon Nabors wrote:Wally, what are you trying to do? flip it over 180deg, stand it up and down, or what?

Yes Forrest that's exactly what I tried to do. When I opened your download it was at 78 deg.Forrest Chapman wrote:Wally,

Re: Rotate Stretcher
Wally,
I set it at an odd angle just as a point but you can put it any way you like. Are you saying you want a left to right stretcher with an front to back orientation? If so just add it that way.

Re: Rotate Stretcher
Wally,
The reason I asked if you are trying to rotate it 180 or whatever, was because I had a hunch that you are trying to get the tenon on the back side of the stretcher, rather than on the front. Rotating the stretcher will create problems. What you need to do is: go into the stretcher editor and then click on the stretcher ( turns green w/hash marks), now go up to the top and click construction settings, then go to the construction parameters (left/right -up / down) when you get into the construction parameters, change the tenon bottom side/tenon top side radio button. This will reverse the tenon and everything will work the way you want it to. That is if I understood what you are after. Here is a picture exploded with the tenon switch on the left stretcher.
