Laptop
I just installed ecab on my wifes laptop to see if it works. It is a intel dual core 1.6ghz with 3 Gig of ram and a shared memory Video card. preliminary test shows ecab working ok. I want to stress test it. Can anyone recommend some things for me to try.
Thanks
Greg

Re: Laptop
That job sure loves memory...885MB at peak with 869MB virtual memory!!! You're going to have to give up theatre Kerry.
I can manipulate it with only small delays. The delays are enough though that I would want to scream after a little while working with that layout.

Re: Laptop
Ok kerry it gave my PC a work out. How about posting a file that can be manipulated on a normal computer that is challenging not something that will bog down a desktop. I want to use Ecab but if I cant manipulate a drawing this is not a good way to convince me to do it.

Re: Laptop
Greg,
You ask for a Stress Test
Try THIS ONE
Nick,
I am using a dell 380
Pentium 4 3.6 ghz
2 gig RAM (just ordered 2 more)
nVidia Quadro 4500 512mb with Dean's Quadro Tweak
That job slows this computer way down also. It has too many part editor cuts.
