It would be great if Thermwood added a few double sided seed cabinets and the ability to work from either side. I need to build some island bases for closets with drawers in both sides.
Fortunatly they are a standard and only have to be created once. Part editor has become my best friend.

Re: Double sided cabinets
Forrest,
I'm in a similar situation at the moment. I want to created a cabinet that has a door on the front and also a door on the left hand side (to replace left end). I tried to import a second cabinet with the correct size door I wanted and then remove all parts except for the door. But as soon as I removed both ends I lose the door. I think its going to have be a part mod to add the hinges. Any ideas?
Dale

Here is something you can play with
Here is a work bench I made up about a year an 1/2 ago
I made it with Stretchers
It can be resized
My work top can not be resized

Re: Double sided cabinets
Hey guys,
You can load a cabinet into the editor and remove everything, and yes the door will disappear, leaving a blank screen. But the "cabinet" is still there, and it is the size specified in the dimension boxes. Set all your overlays/insets so that the size you specify is the size of door that you want, go to the door/drawer editor, and click in the middle of the screen. The green highlight will light up, and you can add a door ... end result: a cabinet that is simply a resizable door.
I know this doesn't exactly help you Forrest, but I think this is what George is after.
