Hmmm...very interesting indeed. What resolution was causing the issue and what corrected it?

Have a look at this http://www.pcguide.com/ref/video/modesRefresh-c.html
Perhaps a bit technical, but I think worth looking into. I shall try different settings and see if I get any jpegs with the size dialog box included.
(I have an ATI Radeon 9550 with 256mb display card)
I don't think refresh rate would have anything to do with it and unless you have a really old monitor it is probably non-interlaced. I don't think interlacing would have anything to do with it, but then I didn't think resolution would either.
I worked with a customer that was having the same issue with the jpeg size dialog box showing up in his pics. I had him turn down the hardware accelerations in his screen settings and it took care of the issue. Please try this and let us know if it cures the issue for you.
Right click on the desktop and select properties.
Go to the settings tab and click the button labeled "advanced".
Select the tab labeled "troubleshoot". You should see a hardware accelerations slider. Turn it down to approx. midway.
Apply these changes and then try to create a jpeg in ecab.
I just tryed turning down the hardware accilerator to 1/2 way down & it seemed to almost do the trick exept for a small square showing up
Reselution is set to 1280x1024\
That's what gets me--I've tried every resolution between 800x600 and 1920x1440, full hardware acceleration, different computers, different video cards, etc and I have never had it show up. I just can't cause it to happen while others can't prevent it.
