Face Frame won't go thicker than .75 for sheet goods
Why can't I select a sheet good material that is thicker than .75 for my face frames? I have some MDF that is .765. Any ideas?

Ben,
Let me get this straight you are selecting sheet stock, thickness of .765, and then you cannot find the mdf in the list of available materials?

When I click on the frame thickness box, a bunch of different values appear for thickness less than .75, but no value greater than .75 shows up. BTW- when are you going to invite me over to your new shop?

Benn,
eCabinets is probably seeing .765" as 3/4" I don't think eCabinets is accurate to 1/64" and .765 isn't quite 1/64" over 3/4".
I just tried it and if you enter a material of .766" it rounds up to 25/32"

I don't have any problem choosing a material that is .765" thick for face frame components. Double check your material and make certain it is actually defined with a .765" thickness.

Dan,
This may be a deminsion Display problem. I use inches and fractions.
It works when I use inches and decimal.

You may be on to something. When I change Dimension Display to use inches and fractions, I can select the .765" material but it is shown as 3/4". I saved a test cabinet using my .765" material with DD set to inches and fractions then reopened it and changed DD back to inches and decimal. It then showed the correct thickness in the cutlist where before it was 3/4".Kerry Fullington wrote:Dan,

Ben: What do you have set for Dimension Display in Settings and Preferences?

Re: Face Frame won't go thicker than .75 for sheet goods
Guys,
Because Ben and I own machines we use inches and decimals.
Ben, make sure you are selecting sheet goods first. Then your material should show up in all thickness. If it doesn't there is something wrong. I seem to remember something funky happening in FF to me once and I think turning the frame off and then changing the defaults from the main editor fixed it.
Ben, you can stop by any time just give me a heads up.
Thanks,
Forrest
