How do you miter Enkeboll molding

Post by Gary Puckett »

Can you miter molding from Enkeboll and if you can how do you do it?
I thought I could just take it to the part editor but it does not support it.
Is this something that the system can't do, or am I missing something.

Thanks

Gary,
Usually if the molding is in the software already, you can select the molding in the "load items" screen. Then set the length and the mitre angles for each end.

Gary,
Post the stl file and we can take a look at it. But I am pretty sure you are going to need to mitre the edges and set the length before you bring it into eCabs.

George here is the molding right above this post. I think what you have to do is miter it in another cad program then bring it to eCab. I am not that experienced with cad progams to do that. I can just convert dwg and dxf files to stl sometimes

Thanks George,

It will scale to any size but the shorter you go the 45 degree miter changes. I think if you check the box in the scaling box it looks like it doesn't affect it.

I have intellicad could you tell me the steps to create this miter so I can do it in the future.

Thanks

No that didn't work. I must have been half asleep last night because when I check the box it did nothing.
