Sloped Counter

Post by Nat Wheatley »

On cabinet with a sloped top, is there a way to have the counter follow the slope? I've attached a screenshot of what I came up with, using the Countertop Editor. Sorry for the extremely basic drawing, I rarely use this area of the software (or the Countertop Editor...) Thanks.

Nat,

Instead of using the countertop editor to place your top, create a top using a display cube and associate it to the cabinet in the cabinet editor.

I may not be going about this right, but I brought the display cube and cabinet together into the Cabinet Editor. The screenshot shows as far as I was able to get. My plan was to use the 'Align Items' feature. I was able to select a node on the display cube, but not on the cabinet (trying for the upper corner), for some reason. Not sure why.

Nat,

Double click the cabinet to select it and the align tool will work. The cabinet will have a green outline not a hatch pattern. It looks like you have just selected an end.

Nat,

Be careful playing with the 3D stuff, it can be addicting.

Extremely nice work Kerry. I'm continually amazed by what you're able to do with the software

In stark, stark contrast here's where I'm at:

Looks like there's still quite a bit to learn! Thanks again for the help.

Kerry...
It is terribly cold here also. The worst and longest cold snap I have seen in 10 years. 41 degrees and a 30 kt sideways rain. I have never seen it that cold either. I wanted to visit you because I thought you had a fireplace!

Gary,

We have a house in Colorado that has a fireplace. Maybe we should all forget about work and just go there for the winter.
