All of the existing Listed Manufacturers are now classified as "legacy" and cant be deleted? IS there any reason for this that I am missing? I use 10 and may build to 20, but normal use is 5 or less. Build 1 allowed deletion of unused items.
Second, I tried to change the file picture attached to a straight arm hinge with an accurate one. and after 10 error dialogs in a row received this one which required using tskmgr to close the app an lose my changes. What am I missing and/or doing wrong?

EDIT: There were additional blank dialogs buried under the main window that became visible when app was closed. It took multiple tries with tskmgr to close these also. eCabs wouldnt restart before OS was rebooted. Upon reboot and restart of eCabs, all changes made to Hardware Mfgrs, products, websites, Vendor info was lost.

Legacy information indicates that some of the manufacturers' information in the hardware database has links to other parts of the software.
In Build 1, I deleted the vendor Conestoga, because I never order anything from them so I tried to pare down the list a bit.
That ended up causing major problems, one of which was that all the doors and drawer fronts, when selected as Conestoga, would fail to work entirely.
This was a bad bug, so now any manufacturers, or any other data that contains that 'legacy information' is protected.

Thanks for the explanation. I, like you, cleaned out a large number of vendors or mfgrs in build 1. I didnt try to delete any mfgr that had an item in the DB, just ones with zero values that I would never use. I added all my required hardware items to the DB over the weekend, I have 53. I may have 100 some day, but dont think so. I do have 3 times that many hole patterns, as that is what matters to our jobs.
So now my DB has 53 user items, 105 for Connestoga (OK) and 49 from the TWD Furn. NEtwork (OK, but unsure if I will ever use them) But I do have a list that is uneditable of 52 Mfgrs that have legacy requirements , but zero entries. Seems that in order to make something perform better, stripped down is faster than bulked up.

There will be more work done in this area. One thing that may come down the line is allowing the user to "delete"(hide) the legacy items. The legacy item would not be deleted from the database, but it would not be display in the Hardware window.
