What is this error?

Post by JohnLashuay »

This error came up when loading a job into CN just after I clicked OK to next: Drill Shape not used in OptimizeDrillsThisPart

I had to click the ok of the error about 27 times and then it moved on.

Interesting thing is that when I reloaded that cabinet in a batched job this error didn't come up.

Any ideas?

John,

I encountered this error when I had a 5mm shelf pin hole in a fixed shelf mortise. I removed the extra shelf pin hole and all was good.

Thanks for the response, but no I don't have a fixed shelf mortise in this cabinet.

John,

If you could please send the supporting files for this situation to: program@thermwood.com we will have a look at it. Be sure to reference this posting so we can reply both areas. Files needed:

1.) Export from Control Nesting
2.) eCabinet job or cabinet files (.esj or .hsf)

Thanks!

HI Ryan!

I modified the cabinet since then and it ran fine without the error.

I'll check to see about sending these to you.

Thanks,
-John

FYI, here is what I found out from the Thermwood guys. This actually isn't an error!

John,

The dialog you are seeing is not really an error. It is informing you that 2 drill holes on reverse sides of a piece are intersecting but are not exactly over each other therefore it cannot drill straight through. It will tell you this for each and every set of holes.

Thanks guys for the help!
