Batching Problems

Post by Andrew Moura »

I'm not sure what the problem is, but it seems to happen whenever I change the thickness of the material when creating the TWD output file.

The nesting diagram on my computer is fine, but when I create the TWD output file and then batch it to the machine I am missing cabinets and some cabinets are batched multiple times.

Is this a known glitch?

I'm guessing I can just make a new material with the correct thickness and change everything, but over time the material list is going to be quite large.

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this and if the above is the only work around

Andrew,

If you can get us a job file and some steps to reproduce it, then we can see if we can get it to happen here and try to determine the cause.

Andrew,

I had a similar problem with a job a while back.

I wrote the TWD file from eCabinets and did not change the material thickness. Let's call it Job 1.twd

When I realized that I had forgotten the material thickness change I re-wrote the TWD file but saved it using the same "Job 1.twd" file name. When I opened the twd at the control there was one cabinet that had been reproduced three times and some other cabinets on that same wall were missing.

If I re-wrote the TWD file from eCabinets and gave it a new, unique name then every thing was fine.

I had this happen again this past Sunday.
I noticed a job went from 19 sheets nested in eCabinets to 25 sheets nested at the control. A tall cabinet had been duplicated five times.

Download files HERE

Open the job file in ecabinets

Click CNC

Change 3/4" maple material thickness to .730

Change 5/8" maple material thickness to .610

Do nothing to mdf material

Save the .twd as utility_NEST.twd

Open the .twd in control nesting V 5.66

In control nesting I show 7 number 11 tall cabinets. There is only one in the job
