You should perform a backup of your old computer on to a memory stick or some kind of protable media and then perform a restore to your new compter from that backup file ...

Go to Settings/Preferences, Define Hardware,Pricing at the top of the page and then export. This will export everything to an excel spreadsheet.

I had this same problem this week trying to add a profile to a countertop. I was using the partial configuration and when I selected the path of the tool in the opposite direction it worked fine. I don't know if this will help you but it solved my problem.

I just update to version 4 and removed a cabinet from custom layout created this morning in version 3, changed a door and returned it to custom layout in less than a minute. My system is as follows:

AMD 9500 Quad-Core 2.20 GHz
3 Gig of Ram
Vista Home Premium
NVIDIA Quadro FX 570 Video Adaptor

I had this problem but after I selected a hole pattern the hinges showed up on the cost sheet.

You can use the copy paste feature in Custom Layout on items such as crown and display items. The only problem I see is it will paste the item on top of the original so you have to zoom in close to see that the two items are on top of each other.

You can use Texture Match undet Edit Options to change crown and other display items. However, it will not change the species of wood in your cut list.

I am running Ver 6 on my HP laptop with Vista OS and do not seem to be having this problem. I just edited a door in DE with any problems.

I too was able to use the dxf file on my computer with version 5 still installed it is only when I use it on my computer using version 6. I quess this eliminates the file as the problem. I must have a problem with the installation of version 6 however, everything else seems to be running fine. At ...

I don't seem to be able to load a dxf file. I get a note stating the dxf extension is not allowed. I can email it to you. The file I created was a simple 2
D design made in Quickcad from Autodesk which is an autocad based program.

When trying to load a dxf file into PE to create a part ecabinets locks up. This same procedure is still working on my desktop which still has version 5 running. Anyone else tried this yet with version 6?

Everything else is running fine so far with version 6.
