UPHOLSTERED FRAMES - HIGH-THROUGHPUT - MDF - PLYWOOD - NESTED BASED
Designed for the routing and stack machining of large sheet material such as fiberboard (MDF), particleboard and plywood
The Roller Hold Down Series are high-performance systems for routing and stack machining large sheets of plywood, MDF, and particleboard.
A standard roller hold-down system securely clamps stacked sheets, allowing for high-volume production of identical parts in a single run.
Comes standard with a powerful 18 HP spindle, ensuring it can handle demanding cuts in tough materials with speed and ease.
Can be equipped with an optional automatic load/unload system and lift table for continuous, unattended operation and maximum throughput.
Complete three axis CNC routing system to machine nested upholstered frame parts from sheet stock. The moving gantry, fixed table with roller hold down system is designed for routing and stack machining.
Available Table Sizes: 5'x10', 5'x12', 5'x16', 5'x20'
A complete three-axis CNC routing system to machine nested upholstered frame parts from 4'x8' sheet stock. This moving gantry, fixed table with roller hold down system is designed for routing and stack machining and includes an automatic load/unload system.
Available Table Size: 4'x8'
The Thermwood Roller Hold Down Series are three-axis CNC routing systems designed for the routing and stack machining of large sheet materials such as fiberboard (MDF), particleboard, and plywood. They are primarily used for high-volume production of nested upholstered frame parts and similar applications requiring secure hold-down of stacked sheet materials.
The Model 53 Roller Hold Down is available in larger table sizes — 5'x10', 5'x12', 5'x16', and 5'x20' — and offers an optional automatic load/unload system. The Model 48 Roller Hold Down is designed for 4'x8' sheet stock and includes an automatic load/unload system, table dust collection, and programmable side bars and locator pin as standard features. The Model 48 also offers optional dual 18 HP spindles and dual electric drills.
Both the Model 53 and Model 48 Roller Hold Down machines come standard with an 18 HP HSD Spindle running at 3,000 to 24,000 RPM. The Model 48 offers optional dual 18 HP spindles for increased throughput.
The roller hold-down system securely clamps stacked sheets of material to the table during machining, allowing high-volume production of identical parts in a single run without the need for vacuum hold-down. This makes it ideal for routing and stack machining of materials like MDF, particleboard, and plywood.
Yes. The Model 48 includes an automatic load/unload system as a standard feature. The Model 53 offers an optional automatic load/unload system that enables continuous, unattended operation for maximum production throughput.
The Roller Hold Down Series is used primarily in upholstered furniture frame manufacturing, high-volume nested-based production, cabinet manufacturing, and any application requiring efficient stack machining of MDF, particleboard, or plywood sheet materials.
